EndNote allows you to work with Word to insert citations and references from your EndNote Library into your Word document. You can then format the document into a citation style of your choice, e.g. Harvard, Vancouver, APA, etc. This facility is called Cite While You Write (CWYW).

To get started using Cite While You Write, you just need to work through the following sections in this guide:

  • Cite While You Write (CWYW) toolbar.

  • Inserting citations.

  • Editing citations.

  • Selecting a referencing style.

For more advanced Cite While You Write features, use the navigation menu to find out more.
